Last Monday, our 8th gradersโ service project was a tribute to their classmate, Travis Wenning. Travis passed away in 2018 from cancer. Their service project was to collect money for the St Baldrickโs Foundation in an event they called Go Gold for Travis. St Baldrickโs helps families that are dealing with childhood cancer. The student body raised an impressive $6,500! Take a look at the fun the kids had on that Monday doing fire fighter themed obstacles around Travisโs Trail. ... See MoreSee Less

We thought it was pretty neat that some of our 8th graders had the idea to celebrate Patriotโs Day and honor the 9/11 heroes and victims by having a red, white, and blue day. They presented their idea and it was approved!
The students were treated to a heartfelt announcement read by some of our 8th graders honoring the first responders, military heroes, and victims of the 9/11 attack. Our school prayed for peace and unity in our world.
Students were also treated to a walk around the halls to find 6 wreaths that represented the different branches of the military. Classes paused to pray for these men and women in the armed forces as they saw each wreath.
God bless our country. โค๏ธ๐ค๐๐บ๐ธ

We are happy to introduce you to 3 new faces that you will see around school!
๐Last, but not least: Mrs Tracy Meyer๐
Hello. My name is Tracy Meyer. I will be teaching PE and Health for grades 6-8. I am excited to join the team at St Mary. I grew up in Sunman and went to East Central. I graduated from Purdue and Ball State. I love to spend time with my family, go on jeep rides, take walks, play cards, and watch my children participate in sports.
I reside in Oldenburg with my husband Rick. We have 3 adult children-Peyton, Morgan, and Colt and 2 Australian Shepherds that love to go for car rides.
After retiring from SDCSC as a Special Education teacher in 2024, I am excited to get back in the gym, where I was prior as a PE teacher at Sunman Elementary and SDMS, to share my love of sports and fitness.
๐๐Welcome to the team, Mrs Meyer! ๐๐
